A Brisbane-based Army scientist hopes her work on treatments for drug-resistant malaria may also help control dengue fever. Major Alyson Auliff has won the 2009 Fulbright Scholarship for her work to prevent military casualties from malaria, and will head to the US to work with experts to develop a treatment for drug-resistant malaria.
